The BD Vacutainer Tube EDTA are used to obtain whole blood or EDTA plasma samples and are available in a variety of sizes. They can be easily identified by a lavender Hemogard safety closure cap. Each evacuated sterile vacutainer contains an anticoagulant of K2 Potassium salt of EDTA (Ethylene Diamine Tetra Acetic acid) which is a liquid solution that has been spray coated onto the interior surface of the tube.
